FSI’s Unique Workplace Learning Approach
Fei Siong Institute’s vision is to become the Centre of Excellence for the Singapore Hawker Food industry. Towards this vision, our mission is to upskill and transform the Singapore hawker food industry.
FSI’s unique workplace learning approach is best described as an approach that begins and ends with the job. Training needs analysis begins with identifying performance gaps. Courses are then designed and developed to improve job performance in daily routines.
Experienced practitioners are used to help learners apply the knowledge and develop their job abilities in routine work situations. Competency based assessments are conducted to evidence their knowledge and abilities and to certify them as competent

Welcome to Fei Siong Institute (FSI) – First Singapore Hawker Food Institute set up by Fei Siong Group to help upgrade managers, staff and hawkers in the hawker food industry so that they can perform their jobs better and find success in both their personal and work lives.
FSI also trains the next generation of hawker food people and helps hawkers who want to retire to ensure that their brand of hawker food continues after their retirement.
Our courses are designed to help learners upgrade their knowledge and skills so that they can improve their job performance and achieve success in both work and personal lives. Learners learn by applying knowledge and skills in their daily jobs based on FSI’s workplace learning approach.
